Brent Dyer is a licensed professional counselor, former worship pastor, the owner of Renewing Hope Counseling in Houston, Texas, and the founder of The Backstage Project. He spends his days helping people untangle trauma, burnout, faith disillusionment, and the quiet pressure to hold it all together. 

Having lived both on the stage and behind the scenes, Brent knows firsthand what it’s like to be applauded publicly while unraveling privately. The Backstage Project was born out of that lived tension...part clinical insight, part hard-earned wisdom, and part refusal to pretend anymore. With a mix of compassion, clarity, and a no-nonsense commitment to truth, Brent is passionate about creating safe, honest spaces for leaders, creatives, and high-capacity people to take the mask off, tell the truth, and begin real healing - not performative spirituality, not quick fixes, but the slow, courageous work of becoming whole.

Brad’s career began with a brief stint in the Christian music industry before moving into full-time ministry, serving first as a worship pastor and later as an executive pastor. Through these roles, he has seen - and even personally experienced - the unique pressures that come with public-facing leadership, how the gap between a leader’s public platform and private life can quietly lead to burnout and wounds, and how talent can sometimes carry someone further than their character is prepared to sustain. Brad is passionate about organizations like this one that help prevent - and when necessary, help restore - leaders facing personal collapse.

Today, Brad serves as COO of Replicate Ministries, coaching and consulting pastors and ministry teams across the country while also working with nonprofit and business leaders through his private coaching practice. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in East Texas with their four kids - James, Henry, Eleanor, and Andrew - where they love serving their local church and spending as much time as possible outdoors together.
